Fantastic Flapjack

Sunday is the perfect time to make this easy, cheap and tasty tray bake that will last you all week 
(if you can stop eating it!)

Ingredients

175g dairy free spread
125g demerara sugar (caster will do)
2 tablespoons golden syrup or honey
350g oats

  • Melt the spread in a large saucepan
  • Take off the heat and add the sugar and syrup or honey
  • Mix thoroughly
  • Add the oats and mix until they are all covered
  • Gently put down into a tray lined with baking paper
  • Bake in the oven at 180 C for approximately 8 - 10 minutes
Have fun and tailor this recipe to your own tastes, why not add any fruit or nut combination with the honey or omit the honey and use maple syrup and pecan nuts. This also tastes great covered in chocolate fudge. Follow my previous recipe for the fudge and spread over the top once the flapjack has cooled.
